The joys of pregnancy - tell us your best and worst, and top preggy tips
This is my first foray into blogging so I figured I might as well start on the subject that got me to Cradle kids....pregnancy and hence the result...two pretty gorgeous kids (most of the time).
I love the result of being pregnant but not the actual ride all that much. The first 2-3 weeks was great, exciting yet daunting and the naievity of "wow i feel great". random statements like "I'm so not going to be sick like mum was with me" and "Im sure I will be able to wear my normal clothes right through"....then week four hit. Nauseousness, body changes, hiding it from work whilst nibbling on gingernuts, sipping on ginger tea and wearing sea sickness arm bands. Dont get me wrong, after week 15 and into the middle trimester I felt pretty chipper but in all reality that didn't last long. Weeks of exciting feelings followed by moments of dread, imaginging what the combo of your genes will end up producing and hoping it will be happy healthy and ideally pretty cute. Will you bond, will you be good at it? All my girlfriends experience variations on the theme, and then throw into the mix double those feelings, side effects and concerns with twins....
Some women glow, some have great skin, some pile on the weight and some have cravings, for me it was a bit of all of the above. I found everything from retail therapy, a facial when you felt totally rough, your partner cooking dinner and cleaning up or getting your baby kit sorted way in advance just some of the things that made it all bearable.
So what we would love to know is what were the best parts and worst parts of your 9 months and what are your top tips for those heading into it for the first time....we will list the top 5 tips on our facebook page and there might even be a wee reward for one of you preggy mums out there!!
